F&N, the No. 1 sweetened condensed milk brand in Malaysia has added many accolades to its feather. In the inaugural Asian Brand Marketing Effectiveness Awards recently, Cabaran TariKing F&N campaign won the silver award in the Most Effective Use of Event Marketing category. The Asia Brand Marketing Effectiveness Awards is organized by the Media Magazine, Asia’s leading marketing and communications newspaper and it commemorates and honours Asia’s brand building initiatives and campaigns that have proven to deliver results.

On August 27, 2000, F&N Dairies organized the largest simultaneous teh tarik, involving 314 people who took part in the event held at Central Market, Kuala Lumpur. This event made it into the Guinness Book of Records and the Malaysian Book of Records.

F&N have also clinched the Malaysia’s Number One Brand Family Award for the second consecutive year in the ACNielsen Malaysia’s Top 100 Brands 2002 and its sweetened condensed milk was placed third in the Non-Alcoholic Beverage category. F&N Dairies shared the Malaysia’s Number One Brand Family Award with F&N Coca-Cola (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd when market research firm ACNielsen presented the awards “to recognise the best” in the Malaysian market based on 2002 sales in a brief ceremony at Subang Sheraton Hotel. According to Mr Edward Liew, general manager, F&N Dairies (M) Sdn Bhd, the award was certainly a great achievement for the company befitting the F&N Group’s celebration of its 120th anniversary this year. 

Meanwhile, the Cabaran TariKing F&N campaign had won a silver award for Most Effective Use of Event Marketing at the inaugural Asian Brand Marketing Effectiveness Awards organised by the Media magazine.The campaign involved the national teh tarik competition held nationwide as a means of showcasing the art of making the well-loved beverage that draws the interest of all levels of Malaysia’s multicultural society. This is the only Malaysian entry to achieve such a high accolade out of 267 entries from the Asia Pacific region.
